Places that are easy to miss in plastic mold maintenance

After Jimei Mold completes the customer's mold order, it will pull the mold to the injection molding workshop to perform regular maintenance on the mold. Then, in the process of maintenance, what are the places that are easier to miss? As described below:

1. Check whether there is an early warning of rust or humidity in the air diffuser. If rust or moisture is found near the exhaust hole of the hot runner, it means that the internal condensation or the water pipe is broken. The moisture phenomenon will cause the heater to short-circuit.

2. Skid stop deduction--for machines that do not operate throughout the year, this work should be done once a week.

3. Check whether there is abrasion between the guide post and the guide sleeve, and whether there are traces of scratches or abrasions. Such abrasion is caused by lack of lubrication. If the traces just appear, you can extend their life by adding more lubrication to the guide post and guide sleeve. If the wear is severe, the parts need to be replaced. Otherwise, the cavity and core may not fit well, resulting in different thicknesses of the part walls.

4. Check the water flow, connect a hose at the outlet of the waterway to let the water flow into the bucket through the pipe. If the water flowing out is not clear or has other colors, it may be rusty; if the water flow is not smooth, it just means there may be clogging. If these problems occur, all waterways need to be dredged to ensure that the waterways are normal.

5. Cleaning the ejector pins----After one year, the ejector pins will become very dirty due to gas accumulation and membrane impurities. It is recommended to clean it with mold cleaner every 6-12 months. After cleaning, apply a layer of lubricant to the ejector pins to prevent scratches or breaks.
